Pfefferneuse Time!

Here's Aunt Jody getting started with Pfefferneuse! YAY!
Of course the kids got to help with EVERYTHING and they loved every minute of it!

Emma's pouring in the molases...

Bubba measuring out all of the spices...

Bubba stirring the flour into the hot kettle of dough...
Everything is made with love...

Here is Bubba rolling out the first "log" of pfefferneuse. Once they are refrigerated for about 4 hours, they are ready to be sliced into thin slices and baked. A very LONG process!

Here is the finished yummy product! YUM YUM YUM!

Bubba's School Picture

So this year, Aaron's school pics didn't turn out the first go around so we decided to have retakes done. HOW CUTE ARE THESE!?!?! I was so happy when I opened his backpack Monday afternoon to find these in it. He looks way too old and is growing up way too fast! I love him so much and yes, everyone will be getting one.

Aaron's Weekend Career!

So, almost every Friday, Aaron stays the night with Mammow and Pappow. Saturday morning he gets up at 5 am (or earlier) and goes to work with Pappow, carrying his identical lunch box and coffee thermos in tow. Today, the whole family jumped in the car to go watch him run his favorite machine....the Linkbelt 370 logging shovel. Here's Bubba on one of the machines showing off before he gets in the shovel with Pappow.
Here are they are....the "hammerheads" as Pappow would say!

It looks like Pappow might need a lift out of the brush...... (lol)
Here's my little man running the logging shovel ALL BY HIMSELF!!! This is what he lives for!

Pappow was having Aaron stack brush (clean-up) into a pile so that when they are done at this job, they crew can come and slash burn
Like a pro!

Looks like he knows what he's doing! I have to say...I was thoroughly impressed! He was very smooth with the machine!

He looks so small in this HUGE machine!

There's Nana getting a ride and a lesson in the shovel with Bubba

Nana is very excited and proud to have been in the shovel with Bubba!

the grapples on this logging shovel do not even look very big until you are right next to them

My Mammow is the epitome of precious! I love her so much!

My handsome hubby and handsome Dad watching my boy run the shovel
Fashionista Amy and silly willy Kenna!

So I went for a ride with Bubba and took pics from inside the machine with Aaron. TOO COOL!
TOTAL CONCENTRATION!

Trying so hard NOT to smile.....

What can I say.....AMAZING!

My beautiful Bean (Alayna...my nickname for her is Bean)
What a man!

Here are the four adorable Pruefert grandbabies! Aaron, Alayna, Emma and Kenna.

Yardwork

Today was a beautiful day so Jake and Emma decided to clean up the yard one last time for the year.

Usually Bubba mows the yard, but there's nothing like a little daddy/daughter time!

Halloween

After we ate dinner and had cake, Jake and I took the kids"trick or treating". Here's Emma in her fairy costume.....
and here's Bubba as a skeleton. He was so funny in this!

More of Aaron's B-day

After school, Bubba got to open more presents....
He's sooooo happy to have Monsters vs. Aliens.

Mammow made Aaron a birthday cake - chocolate of course! So we all went over to Mammow and Pappow's and had dinner and cake. MAKE A WISH!!!

He's so stinkin' cute!

HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY BUBBA!!!

Aaron was so excited to open presents when he woke up this morning! I cheated and let him open one before school.

He got some new "work" boots this morning and he HAD to wear them to school this morning! He is such a funny little dude. I love him SOOOOO much - I just can't believe he's already 8! He told me this morning, "I'm already 1/2 way to getting my driver's license mom." OUCH!!!
